Software Engineer – Java (Anti-Financial Crime & Compliance)

About the role

Join Luminor’s Anti‑Financial Crime & Compliance team as a Software Engineer focused on Java development. You will help design, build, and maintain cloud‑native solutions that protect the bank from illicit activities while ensuring high quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect cloud‑native software components.
• Develop and maintain complex Java applications following IT standards.
• Ensure performance, quality, and maintainability of the codebase.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best‑practice coding standards.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and analysis.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Strong Java 21+ development experience with Spring, Spring Boot 3.0+, and Spring WebFlux.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), version control (Git), Maven, Docker, and the Java module system.
• Experience handling Kafka messaging, S3 file processing, and asynchronous workflows.
• Familiarity with XML parsing, transformation, and validation.
• Track record of addressing technical debt, writing clean code, and automating tests.
• Ability to draft technical specifications and data models.
• Good knowledge of event‑driven architecture.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) for Pan‑Baltic collaboration.
