Senior Accountant

About the role

Circle K Business Centre in Riga is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Global Finance team. You will be responsible for the full accounting and reporting cycle for fuel operations across Europe, ensuring accurate inventory accounting and compliance with internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the end‑to‑end fuel process from an accounting and reporting perspective.
• Perform accurate monthly, quarterly and year‑end inventory accounting and reporting for Circle K Energy Trading SA.
• Manage operational issues, profit or loss impacts and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain close dialogue with business units and European stakeholders.
• Ensure internal‑control compliance in line with Group guidelines.
• Participate in improvement projects related to fuel accounting, valuation and reporting.
• Design and maintain Excel‑based solutions for financial tasks.

Required profile

• University degree in economics or finance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or audit, preferably in an international environment.
• Hands‑on experience with general‑ledger functions and month‑end/year‑end close.
• Strong analytical and accounting abilities.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
• Fluent English.
• Practical knowledge of IFRS, including IAS 2 and IFRS 16.
