AML Subject Matter Expert & Local MLRO

About the role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional to fill the role of AML Subject Matter Expert and local Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). The successful candidate will ensure compliance with anti‑money‑laundering regulations and build effective AML frameworks for the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Write and implement AML procedures tailored to the Latvian regulatory landscape and TF Bank Group processes.
• Act as the local branch MLRO, liaising with supervisory authorities and investigative bodies.
• Conduct regular assessments of the AML framework, identify improvement areas and implement changes in line with FSA requirements.
• Monitor regulatory developments, advise senior management on impacts and adjust policies promptly.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed AML considerations into business processes and product development.
• Design and deliver training programmes to raise employee awareness of AML strategies.
• Prepare timely and accurate AML reports for regulators and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and insights on AML practices.

Required profile

• Proven AML expertise in the financial services sector, preferably in Latvia and a multi‑jurisdictional environment.
• Strong knowledge of Latvian and EU AML regulations, compliance frameworks and licensing requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law or a related field; certifications such as CAMS or ICA are a plus.
• Fluency in Latvian and English; additional European languages are advantageous.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, with strong decision‑making, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
