Risk & Compliance Officer

About the role

We are a fast‑growing FinTech company seeking a skilled Risk & Compliance Officer to shape our compliance environment. This fully remote position focuses on risk assessment, regulatory monitoring and ensuring our operations meet all applicable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD and AML reviews for individual and corporate clients.
• Conduct client and company risk assessments, including risk classification and identification of key risk factors.
• Develop, maintain and improve the company’s risk matrix, risk‑assessment methodology and scoring system.
• Provide continuous monitoring and periodic reporting, with special attention to medium‑ and high‑risk customers.
• Review corporate structures, UBO information, source of funds, transaction activity and supporting documentation.
• Identify red flags, investigate suspicious cases and escalate findings when necessary.
• Support and enhance internal AML, compliance and risk policies, procedures, controls and monitoring processes in line with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in AML, compliance, financial crime or risk.
• At least 1 year in a regulated financial services environment such as FinTech, payments, EMI/PI, banking, crypto, Forex, etc.
• Strong practical knowledge of AML/KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD, ongoing monitoring and risk‑based approaches.
• Hands‑on experience with risk matrices, risk assessment and client risk‑rating methodologies.
• Ability to analyse complex corporate structures and identify relevant financial‑crime risks.
• Good understanding of European AML and financial‑services regulations.
• Fluent in English (C1) and Russian (C1).
