Quantitative Analyst – Power Price & Production Forecasting

About the role

As a Quantitative Analyst you will support the power price and production forecasting unit by developing, maintaining and continuously improving core forecasting, simulation and decision‑support solutions. You will work on both individual renewable assets and portfolio‑level models, integrating weather data and automating workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and enhance tools for forecasting and operational planning.
• Develop quantitative models, algorithmic solutions and data‑processing pipelines.
• Handle and process weather‑related datasets, including gridded sources, and integrate weather models into systems.
• Validate, back‑test and improve models in collaboration with data engineers.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and presentation materials.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects and ad‑hoc analytics initiatives.

Required profile

• Work experience in Data Analysis, Data Science or Quantitative Analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with experience building prediction models, solving optimization problems and automating large‑scale data workflows.
• University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related field.
• Fluent English and a results‑oriented, team‑player attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python or R (basic familiarity with the other).
• SQL and experience with data storage/transformations (e.g., Parquet files).
• Experience with forecasting, simulation and optimization techniques.
• Ability to work with weather‑related datasets and integrate external models.
