Operational Risk Control Officer

About the role

Swedbank is looking for an Operational Risk Control Officer who is passionate about information security, cyber and IT risk. You will help manage and control operational risk across the Baltic region, ensuring compliance with external regulations and supporting the bank’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and control operational risk with a focus on information security, IT and cyber‑security risks.
• Identify, analyse and report risks in the above control areas.
• Participate in regular or event‑based risk assessments related to information security, IT and cyber‑security.
• Collaborate with risk control experts in the Baltics and Sweden.
• Work with existing operational risk management tools and methods, and develop new ones where needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information security, cyber security, IT, or a strong justification for not holding one.
• Experience in risk management, information security, cyber security, IT or banking.
• Understanding of operational risks and knowledge of related external regulations.
• Proactive, strategic mindset with strong networking and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Latvian and English.
