Mid-Senior Software Developer

About the role

A hands‑on engineering position for a developer who already delivers solidly on their own and is ready to take ownership of systems, provider integrations, and teamwork. The role starts with well‑scoped delivery work and evolves into architecture, provider ownership, and incident leadership as you demonstrate readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, well‑tested code and deliver it consistently.
• Build and maintain integrations with acquirers and payment service providers (PSPs).
• Review peers' code focusing on design, maintainability, and quality.
• Own features end‑to‑end: understand business goals, clarify requirements, break down work, and deliver.
• Debug production issues, investigate root causes, fix problems, and document solutions.
• Participate in architectural discussions, present trade‑offs, and learn from the team.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or ability to learn it quickly; deep experience with a similar dynamic language (Python, PHP, or JavaScript) is required.
• Track record of delivering completed work and unblocking blockers.
• Results‑oriented mindset; prefers shipping functional solutions over perfect elegance.
• Comfort working within existing conventions and improving them.
• Strong database skills: efficient queries, indexing, and sensible data modeling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud platforms; able to deploy and diagnose own work.
• Strong debugging instincts and willingness to tackle difficult problems.
• Effective daily use of large‑language‑model (LLM) tools.
