Data Steward – Data Governance & Business Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Data Steward who will combine data governance expertise with business analysis to ensure accurate, trusted data and translate business needs into clear data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own data quality for legal entities and sales reporting, monitor issues, perform root‑cause analysis and coordinate remediation.
• Define and maintain business glossaries, data definitions and metadata standards in line with governance policies.
• Gather, analyse and document business requirements, design data mappings, transformation logic and business rules.
• Collaborate with business users, IT, Data Engineering, BI and other stakeholders to deliver initiatives and promote a data‑driven culture.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Business Management, Finance, IT or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in data governance/data management and at least 1 year in banking or finance.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to act as a bridge between IT and business.

Required skills

• SQL (advanced)
• Data warehousing concepts and data profiling techniques
• MS Office, Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
• Tableau or Power BI for reporting
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Kafka, Iceberg, Snowflake or DataBrick
• ETL and data‑governance tools
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
