HR Business Partner

About the role

Helmes Latvia is seeking a proactive HR Business Partner to support its growing team in Riga. You will act as a strategic advisor to local leaders, ensuring HR initiatives align with business goals while fostering a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute all HR activities for Helmes Latvia, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
• Partner with managers and the Helmes Group to provide HR guidance on performance, development, and compliance.
• Drive employer branding and talent acquisition efforts in the Latvian market.
• Coordinate learning and development programs, creating training plans and supporting employee growth.
• Maintain compliance with Latvian labour law, internal policies, and best practices.
• Manage HR documentation, personnel files, and support payroll processing.
• Participate in salary benchmarking, compensation reviews, and market analysis.
• Identify and implement improvements to HR processes, policies, and workflows.
• Promote employee well‑being, engagement, and retention initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of HR experience, preferably in the IT or technology sector.
• Strong knowledge of Latvian labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and act independently.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Resilient, calm in conflict situations, and able to provide sound advice.
• Coaching mindset with a passion for people development.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Experience with CRM systems
• Familiarity with HR information systems
