HR Business Partner

About the role

Join DSV, a global transport and logistics leader, as an HR Business Partner based in Riga. You will act as the trusted HR contact for employees, ensuring smooth daily operations and supporting the growth of both people and the business.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees, addressing everyday personnel questions with clear, practical guidance.
• Manage end‑to‑end HR processes in Latvia, including recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts, documentation, changes, and terminations.
• Support new‑hire integration by providing necessary information, system access, and practical assistance.
• Maintain accurate employee data across local and global HR systems.
• Coordinate employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives to foster a positive team atmosphere.
• Assist regional HR activities, performance evaluation processes, and preparation of required reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR, preferably within an international environment.
• Practical knowledge of labour law and ability to apply it in daily situations.
• Relevant higher or professional education related to people, processes, or business.
• Excellent Latvian and English communication skills.
• Trusted conversation partner capable of handling sensitive information.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic setting, prioritize tasks, and keep the big picture in view.
• Natural curiosity to ask questions, investigate, and understand situations before proposing solutions.
