General Ledger Accountant

About the role

Cabot Latvia is looking for a General Ledger Accountant to support the site Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for recording and accounting for transactions in the legal entity’s general ledger, ensuring compliance with internal controls and global accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute month‑end closing activities, including reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed assets accounts (additions, depreciation, disposals).
• Reconcile inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other balances in close coordination with the local Accounting Manager.
• Ensure accounting transactions comply with global policies, procedures and Sarbanes‑Oxley regulations.
• Support internal control procedures and adherence to Business Service Center standards.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or a full‑time student.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in accounting, accounts payable or accounts receivable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Customer‑ and team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Familiarity with general ledger processes and financial reporting.
• Practical experience with an ERP system.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance requirements.
