Commissioning Engineer – Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)

About the role

The Commissioning Engineer for Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) will deliver professional on‑site services for Schneider Electric’s ATS and low‑voltage product range. You will work directly with customers on complex power installation projects, ensuring equipment is installed, tested and optimised to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform startup, commissioning and on‑site adjustments for all ATS and LV equipment.
• Evaluate installation quality, connections and readiness for start‑up.
• Support customers during installation, modification and repair of ATS and LV products.
• Diagnose failures, conduct root‑cause analysis and differentiate between quality, software or operational issues.
• Collaborate with Schneider Electric service engineers, partners and L3 support to resolve issues on‑site.
• Provide training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance for ATS and LV systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of commissioning or field‑service experience with secure power systems.
• Strong understanding of ATS and LV principles and general electricity knowledge.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks and travel internationally up to 70 % of the time.
• Compliance with safety policies and ability to interpret technical documents and regulations.
• Fluent English communication (minimum B2 level).
