Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Redwire Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems for UAVs and advanced surveillance solutions. The role offers a collaborative environment where creativity and problem‑solving are highly valued.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement mechanisms and auxiliary equipment required for product manufacturing.
• Develop, maintain, and verify technical documentation.
• Participate in the introduction of new products into production and in R&D activities.
• Plan work tasks, prepare technical reports, and support technology and production efficiency improvements.
• Lead small teams or projects, providing technical guidance and support.
• Perform other duties related to core job functions as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries is an advantage.
• Proven expertise in mechanical design, analysis, and testing.
• Proficiency in CAD software and finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Good command of English.
