Engineering Director - Platform

About the role

GoMining is seeking an Engineering Director to own and evolve the technology platform that powers its ecosystem. This senior leadership position blends deep engineering expertise with strong product and business thinking to drive platform strategy, architecture, and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the GoMining Platform, building scalable shared infrastructure across products.
• Own platform reliability, availability, latency, scalability, and operational performance, setting SLAs and improving DORA metrics.
• Lead the development of core capabilities such as authentication, authorization, 2FA, integrations, analytics, and shared services.
• Partner with product, design, security, and executive stakeholders to align platform initiatives with business impact.
• Build and develop the Platform engineering organization, handling hiring, performance, and culture.
• Introduce AI‑assisted workflows to increase engineering velocity and quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Engineering Director, Head of Platform, VP Engineering, CTO or similar senior engineering leadership role.
• Strong product and business mindset, able to prioritize initiatives based on revenue, conversion and customer experience.
• Experience working directly with senior product, business and executive stakeholders.
• Hands‑on experience with modern AI tools and agents.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, high‑load environments, reliability, scalability and security.
• Expertise in authentication, authorization, identity and payments infrastructure.
• Experience building complex platforms, shared services and integrations used by multiple product teams.
• Proficiency with AI‑assisted engineering workflows.
