Staff .NET Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a strong hands‑on backend engineer to evolve our production crypto‑payments platform. The role combines deep technical work with technical leadership, focusing on correctness, resilience and security of blockchain transaction processing.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and critical crypto‑payment flows using C# and modern .NET.
• Take ownership of selected critical backend areas and progress toward platform‑wide technical ownership.
• Investigate production incidents, improve observability with logs, metrics, traces and business data.
• Automate recurring operational tasks, create actionable signals and concise reports.
• Identify, classify and prioritize technical debt and reliability risks in partnership with product leadership.
• Incrementally improve complex and legacy components with appropriate testing and safe rollout strategies.
• Lead technical decisions, review designs and code, and mentor other engineers.
• Leverage modern tooling, including AI‑assisted analysis where it adds measurable value.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience building and operating production systems with C# and modern .NET.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, consistency, idempotency and failure handling.
• Production experience with relational databases, caching, asynchronous processing and service integrations.
• Experience deploying and operating services in AWS and Kubernetes.
• Ability to diagnose problems across application, domain, persistence and integration boundaries.
• Proficiency with production logs, metrics, traces and incident investigation.
• Sound security judgment for systems handling money, credentials and sensitive customer data.
• Pragmatic approach to legacy code and incremental improvement.
