Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Redwire Defense Tech is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure that all products meet the highest quality standards throughout the production lifecycle. You will develop control plans, manage non‑conformance processes, and drive continuous improvement across our UAV and electro‑optical surveillance systems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyse problems, determine root causes and implement corrective actions quickly and efficiently.
• Define quality assurance parameters together with software and product designers.
• Monitor quality performance and conformance from design through delivery to customers.
• Conduct product and process audits, create and maintain work instructions, and recommend changes for compliance.
• Communicate findings professionally, draw valid conclusions from data and propose solutions.
• Escalate issues as required and ensure all quality documentation is up‑to‑date and accessible.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, EN 9100, ISO 14001 and other relevant regulations.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to quality processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• High accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Fluent in Latvian and English, both written and spoken.
