Senior Back-End Software Engineer

About the role

Scoro is looking for a Senior Back-End Software Engineer to join its Product Engineering team in Tallinn or Riga. You will work on the Time team, helping to evolve a globally used work‑management product that powers professional services firms.

Key responsibilities

• Write high‑quality, maintainable PHP code to extend Scoro’s work‑management platform.
• Identify and solve complex technical challenges related to scalability, performance and security.
• Own features from concept through deployment, collaborating with designers, product managers and fellow engineers.
• Champion modern tools and best practices to keep the technology stack sharp.
• Experiment with AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with plain PHP (no heavy frameworks required).
• Experience working in large, existing codebases, preferably monolithic applications.
• Comfort with databases and data stores such as MySQL, MariaDB, Elasticsearch or Redis.
• Proactive mindset, curiosity and a collaborative attitude.
