Embedded Vision Engineer – Linux & Computer Vision

About the role

You will work at the intersection of embedded Linux, imaging hardware and computer vision, creating reliable camera pipelines for drone platforms. The role combines low‑level driver work with high‑level algorithm optimisation to deliver real‑time video and vision capabilities on edge devices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise embedded Linux camera pipelines, including capture, ISP, encoding and streaming.
• Integrate and bring up camera sensors on embedded platforms (e.g., MIPI CSI, driver configuration).
• Implement and fine‑tune computer‑vision algorithms on edge devices such as detection and tracking.
• Debug issues across hardware, drivers and application layers.
• Optimise real‑time video performance for latency, bandwidth and reliability.
• Work with imaging SoCs (e.g., Novatek or similar) to tune system performance.
• Collaborate with hardware, RF and systems teams for end‑to‑end integration.

Required profile

• Strong experience with embedded Linux development.
• Solid programming skills in C/C++.
• Hands‑on experience with camera systems and imaging pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of computer‑vision implementation on edge devices.
• Understanding of hardware interfaces such as MIPI CSI, I2C and SPI.
• Systems‑mindset with ability to see how components interact in real‑world deployments.
• Experience with Novatek or similar imaging/video SoCs is a strong plus.
• Background in drones, robotics, automotive ADAS or surveillance systems is advantageous.
