Java Engineer – Digital Core (Ogre)

About the role

We are looking for a Java Engineer to join the Digital Core tribe at Danske Bank in Ogre. You will help build highly available, cloud‑hosted services that enable the bank’s digital interactions and support both external customers and internal data consumers.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of parts of the existing codebase and collaborate with other Digital Core squads.
• Develop event‑driven and API‑centric backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement messaging integrations with RabbitMQ or Kafka and ensure reliable data flow.
• Write clean, high‑quality code and contribute to continuous improvement of the platform.
• Work closely with architects, product owners and fellow engineers to shape technical direction.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional experience developing Java applications.
• Strong knowledge of SQL‑based databases.
• Proficiency in English (advanced).
