Senior Android Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer to lead the evolution of our Android application. You will own end‑to‑end feature development, drive technical improvements, and ensure a high‑performance, scalable user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production‑grade Android applications.
• Take ownership of solutions from design through testing and release.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve the codebase.
• Implement new features and enhance existing functionality according to the roadmap.
• Collaborate with iOS engineers and cross‑functional teams for a consistent cross‑platform experience.
• Identify and resolve technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and code‑quality issues.
• Write clean, well‑tested code following modern engineering practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best‑practice initiatives.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
• Ensure successful releases and ongoing maintenance on Google Play.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and maintaining Android apps in production.
• Advanced proficiency in Kotlin (Java a plus) and solid OOP, SOLID, clean‑code knowledge.
• Experience with scalable Android architectures such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Hands‑on with Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, Dagger 2/Hilt, and Android Jetpack libraries.
• Strong background in reactive/asynchronous programming (Coroutines, Flow, RxJava).
• Deep understanding of concurrency, threading, and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Proficiency in automated testing (unit, integration, UI).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and code‑review practices.
• Good grasp of Material Design and mobile UX best practices.
• Experience publishing and maintaining apps on Google Play.
• Ability to drive technical initiatives independently and communicate effectively in an international team.
