Mockup Design Team Manager – Remote Europe

About the role

As the Mockup Design Team Manager you will lead the evolution of e‑commerce visual asset production, overseeing three Design Team Leads and a total of thirteen 3D designers. The role focuses on turning the 3D production engine into a high‑efficiency, tech‑enabled unit that directly supports merchant success across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks by introducing smart workflows and simple automations.
• Translate merchant feedback and e‑commerce trends into high‑converting visual assets that reduce reprint rates.
• Guide the team in evaluating and adopting user‑friendly AI and automation tools.
• Plan capacity and allocate resources to maximise ROI on visual asset creation.
• Analyse production metrics, align visual output with merchant usage patterns, and improve cross‑functional collaboration.
• Coach and mentor Design Team Leads on merchant centricity, operational efficiency and leadership.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing technical, creative or 3D design teams.
• Background in a SaaS, platform or e‑commerce environment with an understanding of scaling creative operations.
• Strong mindset for workflow automation and process optimisation.
• Curiosity about emerging AI capabilities and their practical application in design.
• Ability to use data and capacity planning to make informed scheduling and resource decisions.

Required skills

• Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., scripting, macro creation).
• Familiarity with AI‑enhanced design tools.
