IT Audit Manager

About the role

As an IT Audit Manager you will join the Global Internal Audit team of a Fortune 500 convenience‑store and fuel‑retail brand. You will help shape the IT audit plan, lead audit engagements and ensure robust controls across the organisation’s technology landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Manager IT Internal Audit with risk assessments, annual audit planning and IA initiatives.
• Plan, lead and execute IT General Controls and Application Controls audits in line with audit standards and governance frameworks.
• Communicate findings with actionable remediation plans and follow‑up to verify implementation.
• Prepare and present concise audit reports to senior management and promote risk awareness.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, external auditors and internal teams to drive collaboration.
• Enhance audit methodology, working paper templates and coach the IT audit team.
• Manage external auditor coordination for SOX/NI 52‑109 compliance testing.
• Participate in ad‑hoc reviews, investigations and other initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification such as CISA, CISM, CISSP or CPA (CIA is a plus).
• 7‑10 years of IT audit experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, ITGC, application controls, GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001 and ICFR.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to senior leaders.
• Self‑motivated, independent, with high integrity and sound judgment.
• Proven relationship‑management, negotiation and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Strategic thinker with an agile mindset and strong analytical capabilities.
