About the role

The Internal Security Service Shift Manager ensures a safe and healthy environment for customers and colleagues in an IKEA store. You will lead the security team, coordinate schedules, and implement preventive measures to avoid incidents before they happen.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate work and vacation schedules for internal security staff.
• Maintain continuous security coverage throughout the store.
• Train employees on security systems, processes, and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with security processes and internal regulations.
• Conduct regular store inspections and supervise the condition of security equipment, technical tools, and fire‑safety systems.
• Oversee fire‑safety matters, perform routine checks of fire‑safety installations, and provide fire‑safety training as needed.
• Participate in onboarding and training of new employees.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Perform guard duties according to the work schedule.

Required profile

• Experience in security or guard work with a valid security‑guard certificate.
• Preferable experience in team coordination or leadership.
• Preferable fire‑safety specialist certification.
• Ability to organize daily work and ensure uninterrupted team performance.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Responsible attitude and ability to act in changing situations.
• Proficiency in Latvian language.
• Good computer skills for everyday tasks.

Required skills

• Operation of security systems.
• Knowledge of fire‑safety systems.
• Basic computer literacy.
