Health & Safety Manager

About the role

As a Health & Safety Manager you will develop and enhance Yokohama TWS Latvia’s occupational health and safety system, strengthen safety culture and ensure compliance with international standards so that every employee works in a safe, structured, and sustainable environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate health & safety operations and drive continuous improvements.
• Promote safety culture and reinforce safe daily behaviour.
• Collaborate with Yokohama Group EHS functions to adopt best practices.
• Lead risk assessments and preventive action planning.
• Analyse safety KPIs, incident statistics and trends.
• Organise workplace improvement and accident prevention measures.
• Investigate incidents/accidents and identify root causes.
• Ensure compliance with Latvian regulations, ISO 45001 and Yokohama standards.

Required profile

• Higher education or qualification in occupational safety according to Latvian regulations.
• Experience in safety within manufacturing, preferably metalworking.
• Ability to analyse safety data and KPIs to create fact‑based proposals.
• Strong organisational skills, systematic approach and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication in Latvian and English, both spoken and written.
