Embedded Firmware Engineer (Riga)

About the role

Ubiquiti is looking for a self‑driven Embedded Firmware Engineer to join its Riga office. You will work on cutting‑edge 5G and LTE networking products, collaborating with a global team of firmware, hardware engineers and designers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain firmware for new 5G & LTE devices.
• Create and debug user‑space libraries and services.
• Integrate third‑party software into existing firmware and build systems.
• Maintain and improve existing product firmware.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to troubleshoot and design new products.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of embedded firmware development experience using C/C++.
• Strong understanding of Linux internals.
• Good knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/UDP) and routing (static & dynamic).
• Familiarity with Linux firewall (netfilter) and traffic control (tc).
• Experience with VPN technologies such as IPSec, OpenVPN or WireGuard.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude, Codex).
• Proficient with Git version control.
• Fluent in English and Latvian.
