Development Project Manager

About the role

As a Development Project Manager you will lead investment and modernization projects from concept through planning, execution and hand‑over to operations. You will be responsible for budgeting, scheduling, quality control and risk management while coordinating cross‑functional teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Drive investment and modernization projects from idea to operational hand‑over.
• Plan and monitor project budgets, timelines, quality, major milestones and risks.
• Lead cross‑functional project teams and coordinate internal units and external partners.
• Oversee selection, collaboration and contract compliance of designers, builders, equipment suppliers and other partners.
• Coordinate equipment installation, required infrastructure construction and project commissioning.
• Provide regular progress, budget, schedule and risk reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education in management, economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in manufacturing, food, agriculture or construction.
• Proven experience in investment/CAPEX project execution.
• Strong ability to manage budgets, schedules, risks and contracts.
• Demonstrated capability to lead multi‑stakeholder teams and achieve results independently.
• Analytical thinking, structured approach and autonomous decision‑making.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.
• High sense of responsibility, pro‑activity and result orientation.
• Fluent Latvian and English (spoken and written) for professional communication with foreign suppliers.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
