Chief Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Accountant to take full ownership of accounting and tax processes for a fast‑growing IT company. The company has over eight years of experience in hosting and virtual machines, operates its own server infrastructure, and partners with reliable European data centres.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting and tax reporting, including VAT, OSS, corporate income tax, payroll and annual reporting.
• Oversee cash‑flow management, budgeting, banking relationships and payment systems.
• Prepare management reporting and profit & loss statements.
• Collaborate with international partners and investors.
• Improve and automate financial processes and implement digital tools.
• Contribute to the overall financial strategy together with the founder.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chief or Senior Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of Latvian accounting and tax legislation.
• Fluent in Latvian and proficient in English.
• Interest in automation and digitalisation of financial processes.
• Experience with international and crypto payments is a plus.
