Technical Analyst

About the role

EY is looking for a Technical Analyst to join the IT professionals of the EY Tax team. In this role you will support local and global clients with complex IT issues related to the implementation of research and development (R&D) projects across various EU countries.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in meetings with senior client IT, technical, scientific and engineering staff to understand innovative IT‑R&D projects.
• Document and communicate the technical aspects of client R&D projects in professional language for EY teams.
• Deliver high‑quality advice and solutions in collaboration with EY teams from different EU locations.
• Assist in automating tax and accounting processes using programming languages and relevant tools.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in the IT industry, academia or a research organisation.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Permission to work in Latvia and willingness to travel within the EU.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills across multicultural teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of at least one programming language with hands‑on experience.
• Familiarity with software development life‑cycle practices such as Agile, Scrum, code reviews, testing and operations.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong writing proficiency.
