Technical Analyst – IT R&D Projects

About the role

EY's IT professionals in the Tax team are looking for a Technical Analyst based in Riga. You will support local and global clients with complex IT issues related to the implementation of R&D projects in different EU countries.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in meetings with clients' senior IT, technical, scientific and engineering staff to understand their innovative IT R&D projects.
• Translate the information gathered into clear descriptions of clients' IT-related R&D projects, using professional language and terminology.
• Deliver high-quality advice and solutions to clients, working with EY teams from different EU countries.
• Help advise on and automate tax and accounting processes using various programming languages and tools.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in the IT industry, academia or a research organisation.
• Strong written, spoken and conversational English, as the role involves international clients.
• Right to work in Latvia and ability to travel to other EU countries.
• Ideally, experience with software development life cycles (Agile and Scrum), code reviews, testing and operations, and as a back-end or full-stack developer.

Required skills

• Knowledge of at least one programming language and hands-on experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across countries.
• Quick adaptation to new technologies, strong writing, attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills.
