Software Fraud Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Software Fraud Engineer to design and build the next‑generation fraud prevention platform for our payments and fintech ecosystem. In this engineering role you will create real‑time detection pipelines, risk engines, and automated decision services that protect users and the business from abuse.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop fraud detection systems for payments, wallets, authentication, and user activity.
• Detect account takeover, payment fraud, bonus abuse, multi‑accounting, and other abuse scenarios.
• Build real‑time fraud pipelines and event‑processing services.
• Create and improve fraud rules, velocity controls, and dynamic risk scoring.
• Design decision engines for transaction approval, review, or rejection while minimizing false positives.
• Analyze transaction patterns, device intelligence, and risk signals from large‑scale event streams.
• Develop internal investigation and monitoring tools for Fraud, Support, and Compliance teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Payments, Data, and Platform teams to deliver scalable backend services.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building fraud prevention, risk, payment, fintech, or security systems.
• Strong backend development background (Go, Java, Kotlin, Python or similar).
• Proven experience with distributed, event‑driven architectures.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Fluent English communication skills.
