SAP Basis Architect

About the role

We are looking for a SAP Basis System Architect to lead architecture, transformation and operational excellence across our SAP landscapes. The role will design scalable, secure and cloud‑ready SAP platform architectures supporting S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Cloud ALM and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define SAP platform architecture standards and governance.
• Design S/4HANA landscapes for on‑premise, private and public cloud.
• Lead RISE with SAP and cloud transformation programmes.
• Create high‑availability and disaster‑recovery architectures.
• Specify system sizing, performance and transport management strategies.
• Define SAP security architecture in partnership with security teams.
• Drive Clean Core compliance and modernisation initiatives.
• Establish monitoring and observability standards using SAP Cloud ALM.
• Design automation for provisioning and operations, including IaC.
• Support hyperscaler deployments on Azure, AWS and GCP and provide technical leadership during upgrades, migrations and conversions.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of SAP Basis administration, S/4HANA architecture and SAP NetWeaver.
• Experience with SAP HANA, SAP Landscape Management, SAP Cloud ALM and SAP Solution Manager.
• Hands‑on experience with RISE with SAP, SAP Private Cloud Edition and major hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, SAP Identity Management, IAS/IPS and Single Sign‑On.
• Understanding of SNC, TLS/Certificates and SAP authorization concepts.
• Proficiency in technical governance, DevOps and automation practices.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
