IPT Lead for Ground Support Equipment

About the role

Redwire Corporation is seeking an experienced Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead to drive the development, integration and delivery of ground support equipment (GSE) for its uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS). The role combines technical leadership with cross‑functional coordination to ensure mission‑critical support hardware meets operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, integration and delivery of GSE such as Ground Control System (GCS) hardware, launchers, tracking antennas, radio equipment, battery chargers, spare kits, field support kits, containers, transport cases and hand controllers.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, program management and field operations to align GSE solutions with schedule, scope and budget.
• Oversee hardware selection, system integration and testing of GCS components and field support equipment.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, CAD models and Bills of Material.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GSE hardware and integration.
• Provide leadership to multiple workstreams, guiding team members and ensuring timely delivery.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in aerospace, defense or UAS industries with a focus on ground support equipment.
• Hands‑on experience with GCS hardware, antennas, radios and networking systems.
• Knowledge of power‑management systems, battery chargers and electrical interfaces.
• Familiarity with ruggedized field support kits, transport cases and deployable solutions.
• Understanding of communication protocols and RF systems used in UAS operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics, aerospace, systems, electrical, mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Strong English communication skills.
