Engineering Manager - AI Product (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a small, high‑impact team that builds and operates the end‑to‑end AI product stack. The role is fully remote within the EMEA time zones and combines strategic leadership with hands‑on development of production‑grade AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of three engineers focused on AI platform and product engineering.
• Define and drive architectural direction emphasizing inference performance, reliability, cost efficiency, and developer experience.
• Contribute hands‑on code (~50%) to model serving, inference pipelines, retrieval, orchestration, and evaluation.
• Own the AI/ML platform lifecycle: GPU capacity, scheduling, model deployment, versioning, data pipelines, monitoring, and quality evaluation.
• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and Backend teams to align priorities and ensure smooth integrations.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and technical coaching.
• Promote a culture of ownership, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership or engineering‑management role.
• Proven track record building and operating AI/ML platforms or inference infrastructure in production.
• Strong background in distributed backend systems and modern LLM stacks.
