Brand Manager Gastroenterology

About the role

AbbVie is looking for a Brand Manager for its Gastroenterology therapeutic area in Riga. The role develops and implements sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets, combining strategic thinking, leadership and strong communication skills. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Sell and market the products of the assigned therapeutic area.
• Work with HCP and non-HCP stakeholders to define target segments, brand positioning and close-loop marketing, and contribute to the Brand Plan Insights chapter.
• Help build a patient journey, set strategic objectives and challenge the Brand Team to keep the approach patient-centred.
• Guide the design and delivery of marketing activities, including events, seminars and conferences, and make sure in-field materials match the brand story.
• Develop marketing inputs for the Strategic Brand Plan, consolidate the 1-year Tactical Brand Plan and coordinate the Long Range Plan.
• Forecast and monitor brand KPIs, manage the budget and brand P&L, track ROI and maximise brand sales and margin.
• Manage Brand projects locally, give clear feedback to the manager and report on campaign progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Proven experience in sales and marketing roles in the pharmaceutical industry within the same therapeutic area.
• Experience in account and territory management and in managing projects cross-functionally.
• Fluent local language and English, excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Valid driving licence.

• Solid knowledge of strategic and tactical marketing, including digital marketing.
• Solid knowledge of finance principles and processes.
• Solid working knowledge of the healthcare environment.
• Ability to lead, motivate and coordinate cross-functional teams.
