Banker – Corporate Lending (Baltic Hub)

About the role

The Nordic Investment Bank is seeking a Banker for its Baltic hub in Riga. You will work alongside senior bankers across the full loan transaction lifecycle, from origination to execution and portfolio management, gaining exposure to corporate lending in multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Support transaction origination, including preparation of indicative pricing, internal assessments and term sheets.
• Participate in loan execution: coordinate due‑diligence, prepare credit proposals and manage internal approval processes.
• Assist transaction teams and liaise with legal, credit risk, sustainability, compliance and treasury functions.
• Act as backup for the primary banker, ensuring continuity in client interaction and relationship management.
• Contribute to portfolio management and business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, law or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience with Baltic corporate clients and exposure to lending transactions.
• Proven ability to prepare and present credit proposals to senior committees.
• Good understanding of key Baltic industries such as manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, transport and real estate.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with various internal stakeholders.
