Application Support Specialist (2nd Line) – up to €25k

About the role

We are looking for an Application Support Specialist (2nd Line) to join a fast‑growing international fintech organisation. The role is fully remote from Latvia and focuses on ensuring business‑critical applications run smoothly for internal teams and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line technical support for multiple business‑critical applications and resolve complex incidents.
• Monitor system health and data quality daily, fixing inconsistencies before they affect users.
• Investigate application, system and data issues using SQL and other troubleshooting tools.
• Analyse API requests and responses with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI or similar tools.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, operations and business teams to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Assist with system testing, release validation, UAT and verification of bug fixes.
• Document troubleshooting processes, support procedures and known issues.
• Prioritise incidents based on business impact and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Support client‑facing teams by investigating technical queries and delivering clear findings.

Required profile

• 1–5 years of experience in Application Support, 2nd Line Support or Production Support.
• Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience in financial services, fintech or other regulated industries is a plus.

Required skills

• SQL (queries, joins, filters, data analysis).
• REST APIs and API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Ticketing and documentation platforms (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, Notion, Linear).
