About the role

Storent, a leading equipment rental company operating across the Baltics, Sweden, Finland and the USA, is looking for a Technical Department Manager for Latvia. You will report directly to the company director and work closely with the Group Technical Manager, influencing how our fleet serves customers daily.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, lead and monitor the technical department’s activities throughout Latvia.
• Manage mechanics’ schedules, vacations and overtime, ensuring efficient use of labour.
• Oversee maintenance and repair processes, guaranteeing timely service and optimal resource use.
• Develop and improve the procurement process for repair parts, establishing new supplier relationships.
• Coordinate repair procurement costs and accounting records.
• Prepare accurate departmental reports.
• Ensure occupational and fire safety compliance, supervising hazardous equipment with relevant authorities.
• Provide product training to sales, service and mechanics teams.
• Participate actively in the management team, proposing process and organisational improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a technical, repair or equipment‑rental team.
• Strong understanding of maintenance, repair and procurement workflows.
• Ability to lead a team, plan resources and make cost‑related decisions.
• Experience with modern ERP systems.
• Knowledge of occupational and fire‑safety regulations; experience with hazardous equipment is a plus.
• B‑category driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Latvia.
• Good command of Latvian; additional language skills are advantageous.
