Senior Python Developer

About the role

Emergn is a technology and management consultancy that helps clients become independent and future‑proof. As a Senior Python Developer you will own a business‑critical Python platform, expand its capabilities and ensure its reliability for global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python and Flask.
• Design and implement asynchronous processing and background job workflows with Celery and RabbitMQ.
• Work with MongoDB for data storage and use Pandas/NumPy for data processing.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues while preserving existing functionality.
• Maintain high code quality through automated tests, pull‑requests and code reviews.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and collaborate with product, frontend and DevOps teams.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with Python.
• Solid understanding of Python fundamentals and advanced concepts.
• Hands‑on experience building REST APIs with Flask.
• Experience with asynchronous processing (Celery) and message brokers such as RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency with MongoDB (e.g., PyMongo) and data‑analysis libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
• Comfort working with Git, GitHub pull‑requests and CI/CD pipelines in an Agile/Scrum environment.
