Senior Payments Manager

About the role

The Customization Group is seeking a Senior Payments Manager to own payments performance across all its e‑commerce shops and partner stores. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will work closely with tech, data, Customer Service, Legal and Procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and monitor KPIs for acceptance rate, fraud, chargeback and cost per transaction across all verticals and providers.
• Set fraud‑prevention rules, scoring thresholds and dispute handling in collaboration with data and tech teams.
• Select, consolidate and onboard payment service providers (PSPs) and methods, including Shopify payments.
• Negotiate group‑wide terms with PSPs such as PayPal/Braintree, Adyen, Klarna, Stripe and manage contractual commitments.
• Prioritise payment‑related topics on the tech roadmap and sign off releases.
• Provide Finance with clean data for cost planning, reconciliation and month‑end closing.

Required profile

• 7+ years of payments experience in e‑commerce or fintech, with responsibility for acceptance, fraud and cost in a multi‑PSP environment.
• Proven track record in PSP negotiations, contract review and migration projects.
• Deep knowledge of card payment flows, AVS/3DS, interchange, chargeback lifecycle and Visa/Mastercard rules.

Required skills

• Hands‑on fraud prevention: rule engines, risk scoring, threshold tuning.
• Technical depth in PSP integrations (tokenisation, webhooks, API).
• SQL or similar query language for payment data analysis.
• Negotiation‑level English.
