Senior Operational Risk Officer

About the role

Join Luminor as a Senior Operational Risk Officer and help shape the bank’s operational risk framework. You will provide independent oversight of change initiatives and ensure risk‑aware decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and continuous improvement of the Change Risk Management Framework.
• Provide independent review, challenge and oversight of change projects, programmes, technology and process transformations.
• Advise stakeholders on risk policies, procedures and control enhancements.
• Identify, assess, monitor and report operational risks across the bank.
• Contribute to risk reporting for senior management, governance bodies and regulators.
• Monitor regulatory developments and emerging trends to strengthen risk practices.
• Collaborate across teams to foster a high‑performing work environment.
• Act as a backup for colleagues to ensure continuity of risk coverage.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in operational risk, non‑financial risk, change risk management or transformation programmes.
• Higher education in Risk Management, Business, Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies and assessment techniques.
• Experience coordinating, monitoring and reporting risk activities.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, comfortable engaging senior management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and adapt to change.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
