Senior Java Developer – Apache Kafka & Microservices

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a team building a modern enterprise data integration platform that supports global logistics and transportation processes. The role focuses on designing and delivering scalable backend services, microservices, and event‑driven integrations in a complex enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement event‑driven architectures and data‑processing solutions based on Apache Kafka.
• Build enterprise integrations with APIs, messaging platforms, and asynchronous communication mechanisms.
• Participate in technical design and solution architecture discussions, providing expertise in distributed systems and integration patterns.
• Modernize legacy applications into cloud‑ready, maintainable solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability across distributed environments.
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver strategic data integration initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of commercial software development experience with strong senior‑level expertise in Java backend development.
• Hands‑on production experience with Apache Kafka.
• Proven ability to design and build microservices, scalable backend services, and event‑driven architectures.
• Experience working with distributed systems, enterprise integrations, and data‑processing solutions.
• Excellent English communication skills for effective collaboration in an international environment.
• Valid Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka (CCDAK) certification is a plus.
