Senior Data Platform Security Engineer

About the role

Join Luminor as a Senior Data Platform Security Engineer and help build a secure, modern data platform for a leading Baltic bank. You will combine security architecture with hands‑on implementation, working closely with data engineers, cloud specialists and platform teams to embed security by design.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across AWS, SaaS and on‑prem data platforms.
• Build and automate security guardrails using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK).
• Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines (IaC scanning, secrets detection, policy‑as‑code).
• Implement data protection measures such as encryption, masking and fine‑grained access control.
• Perform threat modelling, security reviews and support audits and vulnerability remediation.
• Improve logging, monitoring and detection capabilities and automate compliance enforcement.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, network, cloud and risk teams to promote secure‑by‑default practices.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on security engineering experience with an architectural mindset.
• Practical AWS security experience (IAM, KMS, logging, networking).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CDK or similar).
• Experience in DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) for Pan‑Baltic collaboration.
