Policy Engineer – Cedar Implementation

About the role

We are seeking a Policy Engineer specialized in Cedar implementation to join our team building a cloud‑native Enterprise Agent Development Platform. The role focuses on creating and maintaining policy libraries that secure AI agent workloads while enabling rapid development across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Implement a baseline Cedar policy library and define authoring standards.
• Author, test, and maintain Cedar policies to enforce consistent authorization.
• Integrate identity providers such as Entra, Okta, and Cognito into the policy framework.
• Design and manage ABAC and RBAC models for enterprise‑grade access control.
• Configure and operate AWS AgentCore Policy in LOG_ONLY and ENFORCE modes.
• Develop Python tooling for policy validation, testing, and lifecycle management.
• Design parameter‑level access control patterns and map MS Entra claims to policy attributes.
• Collaborate with platform, security, and engineering teams to align policies with governance and compliance standards.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in security engineering or backend engineering.
• Proficiency in Cedar policy language, including authoring and testing.
• Expertise integrating identity providers (Entra, Okta, Cognito).
• Hands‑on experience with ABAC/RBAC systems and Open Policy Agent (OPA) or Cedar.
• Background in AWS, specifically AWS AgentCore Policy LOG_ONLY and ENFORCE modes.
• Strong Python skills for building validation tools.
• Understanding of MS Entra claims mapping and fine‑grained access control.
• Excellent written and spoken English (B2+ level).
