Oracle PL/SQL Developer

About the role

Swedbank is looking for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain database solutions that support its Life and Property & Casualty insurance business processes. You will work on creating and optimizing PL/SQL components, troubleshooting database issues, and ensuring high‑performance, reliable data services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions and triggers for insurance applications.
• Optimize and tune SQL queries to improve application and database performance.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents related to database applications, integrations and data processing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable and reliable database solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, follow development best practices and manage code changes using GitHub.
• Ensure data integrity, solution quality and continuous improvement of database applications.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Database and advanced SQL programming.
• Proven ability to develop, maintain and troubleshoot PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions and triggers.
• Experience with query optimization, performance tuning and complex SQL issue resolution.
• Solid understanding of database design, data modelling and data‑integrity principles.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills in business‑level English.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a team.
