Operations Manager – Carrier Capacity Focus

About the role

sennder is looking for an Operations Manager with a focus on carrier capacity to join its growing Operations team in Riga. You will play a pivotal role in securing and managing carrier relationships, ensuring that customer shipments are executed efficiently and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, onboard, and secure reliable carriers to meet customer shipment requirements.
• Coordinate transports, negotiate freight rates, and oversee the smooth execution of deliveries.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers, building long‑term partnerships.
• Monitor transport performance metrics such as on‑time delivery, transit times, and exceptions.
• Investigate root causes of delivery issues and implement proactive improvements.
• Manage operational processes related to carrier capacity to fulfill customer needs.
• Continuously expand the carrier network by scouting and onboarding new partners.

Required profile

• Strong interest in logistics and transportation; prior logistics experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Motivation to learn and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently while handling multiple tasks.
• Resilient, solution‑oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure.
• Fluency in English is essential.
