About the role

The Bus and Trolleybus Spare Parts Category Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of spare parts used in the city’s public transport fleet. This role ensures that parts are sourced, stored, and disposed of efficiently, supporting both internal operations and external service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and organise the procurement process for spare parts, set budgets, define minimum stock levels and analyse supplier offers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with part manufacturers and suppliers, overseeing acquisition and production projects.
• Create technical specifications, monitor contract compliance, prepare reports and provide professional support during procurement.
• Analyse consumption, inventory levels and costs to make data‑driven decisions.
• Coordinate projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to contractual deadlines.

Required profile

• Higher education (academic or professional) in social sciences, transport services, logistics, business or engineering.
• Proficiency in Latvian (C‑level) and English (C‑level) for communication with foreign partners.
• Up to three years of experience in spare‑parts, technical material or transport equipment category management, procurement or material supply.
• Strong analytical abilities and capacity to plan purchases and maintain stock availability.
