Messmate / Messmaid – Ship Crew Hospitality Role

About the role

Join Stena Line’s onboard hospitality team as a Messmate or Messmaid, providing high‑quality food service and cabin cleaning for passengers and crew on routes in the Baltic Sea North Region. This temporary position is based in Latvia with the possibility of a stable rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner lines according to schedule.
• Clean and service passenger and crew cabins, public areas, and toilet facilities to company standards.
• Maintain compartment cleanliness and control linen inventory.
• Assist guests promptly and professionally, following safety and sanitary regulations.
• Support catering and hotel areas, ensuring hygiene and order.

Required profile

• Communicative, approachable and reliable personality.
• Team player able to collaborate with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Capable of working quickly and in a structured manner.
• Valid EU passport, medical certificate and relevant safety certificates.
• Preferably at least one year of experience in a hotel department, on land or at sea.
