About the role

The Airport Ground Support Assistant will work on the Riga Airport premises to keep infrastructure and equipment clean and safe, especially during winter conditions. The position is a fixed‑term contract from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027 with a possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Manually remove snow and ice from airport lighting, road signs and other infrastructure objects.
• Apply anti‑slip material to surfaces to ensure safe operations.
• Maintain material and inventory rooms, keeping them orderly.
• Perform auxiliary cleaning and upkeep tasks across the airport area.

Required profile

• Basic education, secondary education preferred.
• Latvian language proficiency at B2 level.
• High sense of responsibility and ability to work in a team.
• Clear background check and compliance with aviation law article 57.1.
• Willingness to provide written references from previous employers for the last five years.

Required skills

• Manual snow and ice removal.
• Application of anti‑slip materials.
