Legal Counsel – FinTech Group

About the role

As a Legal Counsel you will support the Group’s operations across multiple markets, providing practical legal advice, managing risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will work closely with business teams in a dynamic FinTech environment operating in Europe and Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal support on corporate, commercial and non‑bank lending regulatory matters.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments across the Group’s markets and support implementation.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial agreements and legal documentation.
• Advise management and business teams on legal risks, regulatory requirements and strategic initiatives.
• Support corporate governance matters, including board and shareholder documentation.
• Cooperate with external legal advisers and regulatory authorities when required.
• Contribute to the development of internal policies, procedures and compliance frameworks.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience, preferably in a law firm, financial institution or fintech.
• Strong legal analysis and drafting skills.
• Good understanding of corporate law, commercial contracts and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent knowledge of legal English and Latvian.
• Business‑mindset with a result‑oriented approach.
• High sense of responsibility.
