Legal Counsel – Corporate & Regulatory

About the role

As a Legal Counsel you will support a fast‑growing international FinTech group, providing practical legal advice across multiple markets. You will work closely with business teams to manage legal risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal support on corporate, commercial and non‑bank lending regulatory matters for the Group and its subsidiaries.
• Monitor, interpret and assess regulatory developments across the Group’s markets and support their implementation.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial agreements and legal documentation.
• Advise management and business teams on legal risks, regulatory requirements and strategic initiatives.
• Support corporate governance, including board and shareholder documentation.
• Coordinate with external legal advisers and regulatory authorities when required.
• Contribute to internal policies, procedures and compliance frameworks.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law.
• At least 3 years of professional experience, preferably in a law firm, financial institution or fintech.
• Strong legal analysis and drafting abilities.
• Good understanding of corporate law, commercial contracts and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent knowledge of legal English and Latvian.
• Business‑mindset, result‑oriented approach and high sense of responsibility.
